Project summary:
This report presented the results of an economic analysis of the modified proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on credit agreements for consumers amending Council Directive 93/13/EC. The original proposal for a new Consumer Credit Directive (CCD) was adopted by the Commission in 2002. The European Parliament adopted amendments in the first reading in 2004, and a consolidated version was adopted by the Commission on October 7, 2005. The European Parliament commissioned Civic Consulting to provide material support during the second reading of the co-decision procedure.
