Projects Evaluation of the Europe Direct European Documentation Centres Project summary: The first EDCs were set up in 1963 and are located mainly in universities or research centres. The main objectives of the EDCs are to promote and consolidate teaching and research in the field of European integration, to make information on the European Union and its policies available to the public, and to participate in the debate on the European Union. The objective of this evaluation was to supply the Commission with an in-depth analysis of the achievements and potential of the EDCs as part of the Europe Direct network.
