Analysis of the economic impact of Directive 2002/65/EC concerning the distance marketing of consumer financial services

Project summary:
In recent years there has been major progress towards an integrated European capital and financial services market. However, studies conducted by the European Commission indicate that the retail financial service market is among the most fragmented segment in EU financial services. Civic Consulting was commissioned to examine the economic impact of Directive 2002/65 on the distance selling of financial service between suppliers and consumers within the internal market.
