Study regarding the problems
faced by consumers in obtaining
redress for infringements of
consumer protection legislation
|
|
Project summary:
In its Consumer Policy Strategy
for 2007–2013 the European
Commission underlined the
importance of effective
mechanisms for seeking redress
and announced that it would
consider action on collective
redress mechanisms for
consumers. The Directorate-
General for Health and Consumers
of the European Commission
therefore commissioned a study
to analyse the problems faced by
consumers in obtaining redress
for mass claims/mass issues
where multiple consumers have
similar claims against the same
seller of goods or provider of
services.
