Project summary:
The cross-border ADR study provided an overview of the
existing ADR schemes in all
Member States; evaluated the
functioning of existing
cross-border ADR schemes (e.g.
FIN-NET, European Consumer
Centres, SOLVIT); clarified the
possible differences and
identify possibilities for
improvement; provided an
assessment of recently adopted
legislation and elaborated how it
facilitates or complements
cross-border ADR schemes, or
whether it can serve as an
effective substitute; and assessed
whether there is a need for a
specific legislative instrument
to facilitate or to mandate
cross-border ADR.
