Project summary:
Focusing on Directive 2005/29/EC
on Unfair Commercial Practices
(UCPD) in the fields of
financial services and immovable
property across the EU, this
study will analyse the
application of the UCPD in these
fields, analyse other rules put
in place by the Member States in
order to fight unfair commercial
practices, describe the
principal unfair commercial
practices in these sectors, and
provide both specific - whether
the exemption under Article 3(9)
should be kept in place or
removed - and more general
recommendations (e.g.
suggestions for regulatory
action at the Union level based
on national best practices).
