in the field of food and feed
safety and animal health and
live animals

Project summary:
The European Commission
contracted Civic Consulting to evaluate the functioning and
performance of each of 28
EU-Reference Laboratories, as
well as the EU-RL network as a
whole, for the period 2006-2010.
Additionally, Civic
Consulting provided the Commission with
an assessment of the relevance
of the tasks currently assigned
to the respective EU-RLs for the
overall objectives of EU
legislation, an assessment
of possible overlaps or
synergies between EU-RLs in a
particular field and the
appropriateness of their current
mandate.
